Noah Kahan

Tickets & packages available

Kahan is an American singer-songwriter who was born in 1997 and grew up on a tree farm in Strafford, Vermont. His father is Jewish and his mother is Christian, and he says his Jewish roots are a big part of his identity. He began writing songs at age 8 and got his first guitar at age 10.

Before his breakthrough came the single Hurt Somebody, which was certified gold in the United States, his 2019 debut album Busyhead, and the 2021 album I Was / I Am. Among his influences, he names Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Counting Crows, Hozier, and Mumford & Sons.

Kahan uploaded the first snippets of Stick Season online in 2020, and the song gained an audience before its full release in 2022. He describes it as the kind of song he wanted to write: a move from the pop of his earlier work toward folk. The 2022 album Stick Season, produced by Gabe Simon, brought him to a wider audience, and in 2023 he received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. In 2024, the song Stick Season reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.

In 2026, his fourth album, The Great Divide, which he produced with Aaron Dessner and Gabe Simon, was released. The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 and stayed there for three weeks. Kahan then embarked on The Great Divide Tour, his first stadium tour. Outside of music, he founded the Busyhead Project, an initiative that provides information and resources to Vermont residents dealing with mental health challenges.
