Engelbert Humperdinck (Arnold George Dorsey, born 1936) is a British singer. He achieved international success in 1967 with Release Me, and that same year The Last Waltz also reached number one in the UK; each song sold more than a million copies. His manager, Gordon Mills, suggested his stage name, after a 19th-century German composer. Hits such as There Goes My Everything and A Man Without Love followed.
The upcoming shows are spread across the US between October and December 2026: California Theatre in San Jose on October 21, Thunder Valley in Lincoln, California, two nights in the Chicago area (Arcada Theater in St. Charles and Des Plaines Theatre) on November 10 and 11, Battle Creek, Michigan, and in December, Westbury on Long Island and Chevalier Theater in Medford, near Boston.
Humperdinck performs romantic ballads known across generations in relatively small theater venues, where you can hear his voice up close. It's a chance to see one of the British pop stars of the 60s who is still performing.
