Interpol is an American rock band from Manhattan founded in 1997, and one of the prominent bands in the post-punk wave of the 2000s in New York. The lead singer is Paul Banks, alongside guitarist Daniel Kessler and drummer Sam Fogarino. The debut album Turn On the Bright Lights from 2002, with Obstacle 1 and PDA, was chosen as Pitchfork's Album of the Year, followed by Antics and Our Love to Admire.
Interpol's European tour opens on 11 November 2026 at Uber Arena in Berlin, and continues to Hamburg (Barclays Arena), Paris (Zénith, 16 November), Amsterdam (AFAS Live) and Brussels. The British leg includes Birmingham, Cardiff, two evenings at Aviva Studios in Manchester and two evenings at Brighton Centre in Brighton, and the final concert is on 2 December 2026 at OVO Hydro in Glasgow. The band also has concerts in the United States.
Interpol play on stage with a precise and dark sound, with sharp guitars and prominent bass, without much talk between songs. The audience comes mainly to hear the songs from the first two albums, which still occupy a central place in the show.
