What would she like to see up close: an artist she loves or a team she follows? A bat mitzvah trip abroad can start with that answer. Choose an event together that will make the trip meaningful for her, then plan the days of your stay around it. On a trip lasting a few days, it is a good idea to leave room around the event for both family plans and the things she chooses to do.
In London, you can include, among other things, a concert by The Strokes or Westlife, or a home match for Arsenal or Chelsea. Your choice can start with the songs she wants to hear at a concert or the team she wants to see on the pitch.
If you want to include both music and football in the trip, start with the event that matters more to her. Before adding another event, check the start times and travel arrangements. Also leave some time without a ticketed event to get to, so you can decide together what to do during the trip.
For a Real Madrid fan, the match against Villarreal is an opportunity to see the team at home, at the Santiago Bernabéu. If Shakira is the artist she wants her celebration to revolve around, you can build the trip around the concert in Madrid.
The match and the concert take place on the same date. Before planning to attend both, check the event times and the options for getting from one to the other. You can also choose one of them and devote the remaining days of the trip to plans you choose together, without making every day revolve around another start time.
If she wants to see FC Barcelona at their home ground, the match against Getafe at Camp Nou can be the centerpiece of the trip. For someone who prefers a concert by Europe, there is also the option of building the trip around music.
For this match, you can choose between a ticket and a package. If you are planning to stay for several days, check how the flight and accommodation dates fit with match day and your family plans.
If Inter Milan is the team she wants to see, you can start with the match against Parma at San Siro and build your trip to Milan around it. Tickets and a package that includes a flight, a hotel, and a ticket are available for this match.
Plan match day so you can arrive at the stadium early. Activities that require committing to a specific time can be scheduled for other days, leaving time on the day of the event to get ready and get there.
Before booking, check the entry requirements for minors and the seating arrangements, and align your flight dates with the event. Choose a place to stay after checking how to get to the concert or stadium and how to get back. Involve the bat mitzvah girl in choosing plans for the other days as well, so the trip reflects her wishes beyond the event itself.
