About the stadium
Ennio Tardini Stadium is named after a lawyer and philanthropist from Parma who was one of the members of Parma Foot Ball Club, founded on 16 December 1913, and its president between 1921 and 1923. He was the one who donated the land to the city so it would have a proper sports venue — and he never got to see its opening, since he died prematurely a year before it. The stadium was inaugurated on 16 September 1924. Originally it also included a cycling track and a gymnastics hall and was called the 'Polisportivo,' because it was designed from the outset for cycling, athletics and rugby too; only in the last four decades has it been dedicated to football alone. So the running track was removed and covered stands were built right up against the pitch — the main stand, Tribuna Petitot-Ovest, and opposite it the east stand — plus two open terraces behind the goals, north and south. The stadium is owned by Parma city council and run by the club under an agreement. On capacity there's disagreement between two official sources, so we'll give both: the club publishes 23,324 seats and the Italian league publishes 22,352 — that is, about 23,000, without pretending there's one agreed figure. What is agreed: the away stand holds 1,871 seats. The two things the club itself stresses are the monumental Liberty-style entrance, and the stands' exceptional closeness to the pitch — together with the fact that the stadium sits right inside the city center, which the club describes as a trait that shapes its crowd's habits. And to give an idea of the atmosphere: in the 2025/26 season, Tardini recorded more than 337,000 admissions.
FAQ
How do you get tickets for a Parma match?
Tickets for Parma matches are sold on the club's official ticketing system, and require opening an account. Official sale goes through the club's ticketing system, at a dedicated club store, and requires opening an account before choosing a seat. Sale also happens at authorized outlets in Parma and the province — the closest is Coordinamento Parma Clubs at Piazzale Risorgimento 1, right next to the stadium. Let's start with the good news: Parma has a fan card called the Tardini Card, but it is not a condition for buying a single ticket for a regular home match. It's mandatory for season-ticket holders, it gives an early purchase window for the big matches, and it's required for away stands at away matches where territorial restrictions have been set. For a regular league match there's one general-sale stage, which usually opens about five to seven days before the match, and all stands are open in it. And now the real obstacle, one worth knowing before buying a flight. Four matches are defined by the club as big matches — Juventus, Inter, Milan and Napoli — and all four come to Tardini this season. For such matches the government sports-events authority may impose restrictions on the home stands, and this has already happened in practice: ahead of Parma against Juventus in February 2026, all sale stages for the home stands, including general sale, were restricted to residents of the Emilia-Romagna region or holders of a Tardini Card purchased before a cutoff date. A foreign tourist without a long-standing fan card simply couldn't buy. In addition, for any given match a restriction on residents of the away team's province may be published — this doesn't affect a neutral Israeli visitor. Three operational details: the ticket is personalized, the name is registered on it, and a valid ID must be shown at the gate — stewards may verify that whoever enters is who's registered. Children aren't exempt from a ticket; under age 14 it's a discounted price category bought together with an adult. And a name transfer (cambio utilizzatore) exists only for season-ticket holders and isn't possible on a single ticket. TikTik obtains tickets for Parma matches at Tardini without a fan card, without a residency requirement, and without chasing a sale window that opens a week before.
How do you get to Tardini Stadium?
You get to Tardini from Parma's train station on bus lines 8, 9 or 11. The address the club itself gives in the stadium regulations is Viale Partigiani d'Italia 1, and the monumental entrance faces Piazzale Risorgimento. The stadium sits inside the city center, so it's a close walk from the center — but note that no official source publishes a distance or walking time from the train station, so we won't invent a number here. By public transport it's simple: the city transport operator TEP marks exactly three lines on its stadium page — 8, 9 and 11 — and these are exactly the lines the club publishes. All three are regular scheduled lines, not a match-day service, and all three pass through Parma's train station, so there's a direct connection from the train to the stadium. A small note that will save confusion: the club writes that line 9's stop is 'Tardini' on Viale Partigiani d'Italia, while the operator's stop list places it at Piazzale Risorgimento. Don't get hung up on the street name — get off at the stop marked 'Stadio.' On lines 8 and 11 the relevant stop is the one on Via Toschi. And a warning the operator itself publishes: on home match days, all three lines may be diverted onto alternate routes. On match day a paid TEP shuttle service also runs from two park-and-ride car parks — the Palazzetto dello Sport car park on Via Silvio Pellico, and the Scambiatore Sud-Est car park on Viale Traversetolo. The shuttle isn't included in the regular city ticket and payment when boarding is by contactless card; check the departure times close to the match, since the notice published online is still last season's. By car from the motorway, the route the club publishes: from the A1 take the Parma exit, continue on the SP343 towards the city center, straight onto Viale Europa, left onto Viale Bottego, right onto Viale Mentana, and at the square that crosses Via Emilia continue straight onto Viale San Michele — the stadium will be on your left. And on the restricted traffic zone, two facts that seem to contradict each other: the stadium is outside the ZTL of the historic center, which is camera-enforced between 07:30 and 19:30 every day — but it is inside the city's 'green zone,' an environmental restriction on older car models on weekdays between 08:30 and 18:30, relevant only to anyone renting a car. And one last detail: Parma has its own airport, about five kilometers from the city, and it is indeed active — its departures board shows London, Palermo, Cagliari, Olbia, Tirana, Reggio Calabria and Chișinău. From there you reach the center on bus line 6 to the train station, and from there on one of lines 8, 9 or 11.
Is there parking at Tardini Stadium?
No — Tardini has no parking of its own, and it sits inside the center of the city of Parma. It's worth explaining why, because that's exactly the trap. The club states this explicitly: the stadium is embedded within the urban fabric of central Parma and has no dedicated car park for private vehicles. There is indeed an adjacent car park lot on the south side, between Viale San Michele, Piazzale Risorgimento and Viale Pier Maria Rossi — but on exactly the day you'd want it, it's closed. The most important point: Parma city council issues a separate traffic order for each individual home match. There is no fixed season-long order. The order closes to parking, with forced towing, the entire ring of streets around the stadium — Via Toschi, Via Puccini, Via Pezzani, Via Scarlatti, Viale Duca Alessandro, Viale San Michele, Viale Pier Maria Rossi, Viale Partigiani d'Italia and Piazzale Risorgimento — usually from several hours before the match until the evening, and adds a full traffic ban about two to three hours before kick-off. Enforcement is by the municipal police, and the order takes effect the moment the temporary signage is actually put up — meaning the signs can appear that same morning. Viale San Michele is reserved for vehicles with club authorization, and the northern park-and-ride car park near the A1 exit is kept all day for away fans' cars, with a free shuttle to the away stand gate — but even this doesn't run for every match, only according to the specific order. Even without a match, the streets around the stadium are a paid parking zone with blue lines between 09:00 and 19:00 on weekdays, and blue-and-white spaces reserved for residents every day between 20:30 and 07:30; on match day the order overrides everything, and even someone who paid will be towed. The practical conclusion: don't drive to the stadium itself. Get to one of the city's park-and-ride lots — where parking itself is free — and continue on the match-day shuttle or a city bus. And before you set off, it's worth opening the council's notices page to see exactly what's closed for your match, because it changes from match to match.
How do you get from Israel to a Parma match?
For a Parma match, you fly to Milan Malpensa, and from there continue on two trains. We checked this live, not from announcements. From Tel Aviv to Malpensa there are direct flights every day — El Al, Wizz Air, Arkia and Israir — about four hours and a bit of flying. Two alternatives worth ruling out in advance: there's no direct flight at all from Tel Aviv to Milan Linate, and Parma's own airport has no route from Israel. By the way, Parma's airport is actually active and serves destinations like London, Palermo, Cagliari and Olbia — it just isn't an entry route from Israel. As for Bologna, which sounds closer: there is a direct route from Tel Aviv to it, but it appears in the airport's official summer schedule only in isolated date clusters in September and October, and in the winter schedule it disappears entirely — meaning for most of the season it doesn't exist. Don't plan around it without checking your exact date. The practical route, two legs: Malpensa Express from the terminal to Milano Centrale station — about 51 minutes, dozens of trips a day, from 05:25 to 23:25, departures at 25 and 55 minutes past every hour; and then a direct train from Milano Centrale to Parma station — about 27 direct trains a day, a fast Frecciarossa in about 51 minutes and other trains in one hour fifteen to one hour thirty, roughly one to two an hour. For anyone already in Italy: from Bologna to Parma is the most convenient leg in the world — about 51 direct trains a day, the fastest in about 51 minutes, two to four an hour. Rome, by contrast, is a poor gateway to Parma: from there it's a journey of more than three hours, almost always with a change. From Parma's train station to the stadium: bus lines 8, 9 or 11. And two warnings that save real money. The first, for the start of the season: Italy's rail network is carrying out infrastructure works on the Milan–Bologna high-speed line between 10 and 17 August 2026, and their effect continues afterward too — checking the rail operator's booking engine, between 19 and 28 August the Milan-to-Parma journey takes about an hour and six minutes instead of 51 minutes. That falls exactly on the first round on 22 August. From the start of September everything returns to normal, and Bologna–Parma isn't affected at all because it runs on the old line. The second: the Italian league has set exact days and times only for the first five rounds, and even within them it wrote that round 4 may move because of the Champions League schedule. All other matches have a known weekend — but no day and no time. Don't book a flight for an exact date before the schedule has been published.
Does an Israeli need a visa to fly to the match?
No. Israelis enter Schengen-area countries visa-free for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and all that's required is a valid passport. Worth knowing what's coming: the European Union is launching the ETIAS authorization system in the last quarter of 2026. Once it takes effect, an online authorization will be required in advance, at a cost of €7, valid for three years or until the passport expires — whichever comes first. As of today the system is not active and no action is required from you. Important warning: the EU warns that many sites impersonate the official site, use the EU logo and charge inflated fees or steal passport and credit card details. There is only one official site — europa.eu/etias — and any address not on the europa.eu domain is not official.
Where should you sit at Tardini Stadium?
At Tardini, the atmosphere stand is the Curva Nord, and the calmer ones are the side stands. The stands at Tardini are Curva Nord and Curva Sud behind the goals, and along the touchlines Tribuna Centrale Petitot, Tribuna Laterale Petitot and Tribuna Laterale Ovest on one side, and Tribuna Centrale Est, Tribuna Laterale Est and Tribuna Inferiore Est on the other side — plus the away stand. The heart of the atmosphere is the Curva Nord, and the club itself calls it the 'heart of the fandom' and 'the hottest stand in the stadium'; this season it's even the end to which a hundred special season passes for children up to age 14 were allocated for the first time. It's worth knowing that the Curva Nord is almost entirely sold to season-ticket holders — last season it sold out completely to season-ticket holders, and this past July the club released the last remaining leftover season passes there — but it isn't officially closed to single-match sale, there's simply less room in it. Anyone looking for a calmer seat: the club's clearest official signal is where it offers a family rate, and that happens only in the four side stands — Laterale Petitot, Laterale Ovest, Laterale Est and Inferiore Est. There's no separate, defined family stand. On roofing: the club notes that the two big stands along the touchlines, Petitot-Ovest and the eastern one, are covered stands, and calls the northern and southern ones 'gradinate' [terraces] — but it doesn't write that they're uncovered, so we won't claim that. The accessibility area is in the lower section of the east stand, very close to the pitch, with 180 spaces for fans with disabilities and their companions and a dedicated entrance on Via Puccini, and it's managed through advance registration with the club's fan liaison officer. The hospitality areas sit in the Tribuna Petitot, and in the east stand there are 15 skybox suites and a terrace. Away fans sit in the Settore Ospiti, a separate block at the end of the Curva Sud — not the whole curve — with 1,871 seats. And on entry itself, what's confirmed and what isn't. Confirmed: a valid ID is mandatory at the gate, and stewards may verify that the name on the ticket matches the person presenting it. Banned: pyrotechnics of any kind, poles, helmets, laser pointers, noisemakers, alcohol above 5 degrees, cans and glass or plastic bottles — pour into a paper cup or remove the cap — and also bulky backpacks and bags. Pointed umbrellas are banned, a foldable umbrella with no point is allowed. Smoking is banned across the whole stadium grounds. Banners, flags, drums and megaphones require prior approval at least three days ahead. And spectators must remain seated, in their allocated spot, without moving between stands. And what isn't confirmed and so we won't state at all: gate-opening time and a bag-size limit simply don't appear in the official regulations. The regulations allow bag searches but don't set dimensions, and the club publishes gate-opening time separately for each match — in practice usually about two hours before kick-off. Check your match notice.
What's special about Parma's 2026/27 season?
Parma opens 2026/27 at home against Cagliari, with Carlos Cuesta continuing on the bench. And we'll start with a detail that's a tribute to the city: the fixture-list draw for all of Serie A this season was held in Parma itself — at the Teatro Regio, on 5 June 2026, as part of the third edition of the Serie A Festival that was hosted in the city. And from that draw it turned out that Parma opens the entire season at home: matchday one is Parma against Cagliari, Saturday 22 August 2026 at 20:45. Even before that there's a home match in the Italian Cup at the Tardini, on Friday 14 August 2026 at 18:00. Carlos Cuesta continues on the bench; he was appointed back in the summer of 2025 — meaning this isn't an opening season for a new coach but a continuation of a project. If you've seen a different name mentioned somewhere, that's old information. In the league Parma finished 2025/26 with 45 points and stayed comfortably in Serie A; there are two sources that contradict each other on the exact table position, so we won't write a number that isn't agreed on. A practical point that matters for tourists: this season Parma has no European matches. It's a league-and-cup-only season — meaning a shorter home schedule, but also almost everything on weekends, without midweek European fixtures that complicate trip planning. In the summer the club locked in its young core for the long term instead of breaking it up: Benjamin Cremaschi was tied down until 2031, Franco Carboni until 2030 and Ebrima Colley until 2029, and Simone Lontani, Giovanni Dafara and Ousmane Diallo Theo joined; in the other direction, Adrian Bendičak left for Turkish side Kasimpaşa and several young players went out on loan. The Italian transfer window closed on 1 September 2026, so the squad may still shift. And around the pitch: this season's membership campaign is called ‘Sempre. Per sempre.’ (‘Always. Forever.’) and its idea is passing love for the club from generation to generation — from grandfather to father to grandson — and as part of it, a hundred special memberships for children were opened for the first time in the Curva Nord. The new home shirt was unveiled at the University of Parma, and the away shirt in July.
What's Parma's big game in the 2026/27 season?
Parma's big game is Juventus at the Tardini, in late May 2027. There are two matches, and each one has a different story. The biggest of all: Juventus at the Tardini, the weekend of 22–23 May 2027 — the second-to-last matchday, and it's not just another game against a big club. The Parma of the 1990s is one of the beautiful stories of Italian football: eight titles, including three Coppa Italia (1992, 1999, 2002), the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1993, the European Super Cup that same year, and the UEFA Cup twice — in 1995 and 1999. And the 1995 UEFA Cup final was against Juventus exactly. And the derby: Bologna at the Tardini, the weekend of 7–8 November 2026 — the 'Derby dell'Emilia,' a name the Italian league itself uses in headlines. Just note that this is a relatively young rivalry: the first competitive meeting between the two was in 1983. And here's something most guides miss. The derby Parma fans really live for is the 'Derby dell'Enza' against Reggiana — named after the river Enza that separates the two provinces — and it's over a hundred years old, dating to 1919. It's woven into the story of the stadium itself: the cornerstone was laid in December 1922, days after a 2-0 derby win over Reggiana, and Parma's first-ever promotion to Serie A was clinched at the Tardini on the last matchday of 1989/90 — in the derby against Reggiana, with goals from Osio and Melli. But this season that derby won't happen in the league: Reggiana plays in Serie C, two divisions below. Anyone who's come to see that derby won't see it this year. The rest of the big home matches on the schedule: Roma in late November 2026, Fiorentina in December, Napoli at the start of January 2027, Inter in mid-January, Lazio in March, Atalanta in April and Milan in May. The season actually closes away, at Bologna, on the last matchday in late May 2027. And a warning that bears repeating on purpose: the league has set exact days and times only for the first five matchdays. All the other dates have a certain weekend but no confirmed day or time — even the club itself presents the derby against Bologna as Saturday 7 November while other listings show the 8th. The weekend is certain, the exact day isn't, and it's only set a few weeks in advance.
