The Estadi Ciutat de València was inaugurated on 9 September 1969, and the story is almost too good to be true, so it's worth telling it slowly: the stadium's opening match was the derby against Valencia CF. It sits in the Orriols district, in the northeast of the city, and holds 26,354 seats on four sides — Tribuna in the west, which is the main stand; Grada Central opposite it in the east; and the two ends, Gol Orriols in the south and Gol Alboraia in the north, each of which is split into an upper and lower tier. The heart of the atmosphere is in Gol Orriols, where the club's active fans sit. Levante is called 'Granotes' by its fans — the Frogs — a nickname born from the neighborhood next to the irrigation channels, and it's much more than an affectionate term: it's now also on the third kit and in the chants on the terraces. In August 2026 the stadium opens its eighth top-flight season in this decade.
FAQ
How do you buy tickets to a Levante match?
Tickets to Levante matches are sold on the club's ticket website, at the club store and at the stadium box offices. The three official sales channels are its ticket website, the club store 'Tenda Granota,' and the stadium box offices, which open on matchday a few hours before kick-off. The tool that really opens up seats for a visitor is a different one, and it's worth knowing: a season-ticket holder who isn't coming to the match can release their seat through the members' area — up to 48 hours before the match — and the seat goes back on sale. In practice this means new stock opens up to two days before the match, even after it looks like everything is sold out, so there's no point giving up early. Two things worth knowing in advance: the club refunds only if the event is cancelled — a personal inability to attend is not grounds for a refund — and it bans resale and cancels tickets that get caught, with random ID checks at entry. The gates open an hour and a half before the match, and that's also the window in which the lost-and-found point operates. TikTik gets tickets to Levante matches at the Ciutat de València without a membership and without chasing seat releases.
How do you get to the Estadi Ciutat de València?
You get to the Estadi Ciutat de València on tram line 6, which stops at the 'Estadi del Llevant' station. This is one of the most convenient cases in Europe: Valencia Metro's tram line 6 stops at a station called 'Estadi del Llevant' — according to the operator's announcement, right at the stadium's doors. The alternative is metro line 3 and the nearby 'Machado' station, and there is also city bus route 70. On matchdays Valencia Metro strengthens the service, including special runs after evening matches, so even a late exit has a way back. The address: Carrer de Sant Vicent de Paúl 44, 46019 València, in the Orriols district in the northeast of the city.
Is there parking at the Estadi Ciutat de València?
There is no official information about fan parking at the Estadi Ciutat de València, and the recommendation is to arrive by tram. Here we have to tell the truth rather than guess: neither the club nor València city council publish any official information about fan parking at the stadium — not about a dedicated lot, not about matchday restrictions and not about road closures. La Liga's stadium document mentions parking only for the away team's bus. What is known: the stadium sits inside a dense residential district where street parking is limited anyway, and the practical recommendation is simply not to bring a car — the tram stops at the gate, which makes the whole question moot. Anyone who does come by car should plan a paid parking lot in the area in advance rather than count on finding a spot on a nearby street.
How do you get from Israel to a Levante match?
For a Levante match you fly to Barcelona or Madrid and continue by high-speed train to València. There is no direct flight from Tel Aviv to València — the direct Spanish destinations from Tel Aviv are Madrid, Barcelona and Málaga, and Israel doesn't appear on the destination list of València airport. So you travel in two legs, and both are easy. The fast route is via Barcelona: about four hours fifteen to forty minutes' flight, then a high-speed Euromed train to València, about two hours thirty to two hours forty-five minutes, roughly eight departures a day. The second route is via Madrid: about five hours fifteen minutes' flight, then an AVE train to València Joaquín Sorolla station — under two hours, and with about 26 trains a day this is the most flexible option. Total door to door: about eight hours. And one detail worth its weight in gold for anyone arriving by train or connecting flight: metro line 3 connects València airport directly to the Machado station next to the stadium — the same line, no transfer, every 15 to 20 minutes.
Does an Israeli need a visa to fly to the match?
No. Israelis enter Schengen-area countries visa-free for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and all that's required is a valid passport. Worth knowing what's coming: the European Union is launching the ETIAS authorization system in the last quarter of 2026. Once it takes effect, an online authorization will be required in advance, at a cost of €7, valid for three years or until the passport expires — whichever comes first. As of today the system is not active and no action is required from you. Important warning: the EU warns that many sites impersonate the official site, use the EU logo and charge inflated fees or steal passport and credit card details. There is only one official site — europa.eu/etias — and any address not on the europa.eu domain is not official.
Where's the best place to sit at the Estadi Ciutat de València?
At the Estadi Ciutat de València, the atmosphere is in Gol Orriols, and the quieter view is in the Tribuna and Grada Central. The stadium is built on four sides, and each of them is split into a lower and an upper tier. The atmosphere lives in Gol Orriols, the south end — where the active fans sit, and where the chanting and flags come from. The central, main side is the Tribuna in the west, and facing it in the east is Grada Central; these two are the quieter choice, with a view across the width of the pitch. The north end, Gol Alboraia, closes the circle. Two things worth checking at the time of purchase rather than assuming in advance: the away fans' seat allocation changes from match to match and isn't fixed, and the question of roofing isn't shown officially on the club's website — a detail that's especially relevant in the summer months, when matches start in the hot afternoon hours. There is also a bag-check service in the Gol Orriols area for anyone arriving with a bag, and it's worth knowing that Spanish regulations forbid bringing in heavy objects, firecrackers, fireworks and alcohol.
What's special about Levante's 2026/27 season?
This is Luis Castro's first full season as Levante's coach, with one goal: staying in the league. The Portuguese coach took the job in December 2025 in the middle of a tough season, kept the team in the top flight — 16th place with 42 points, a tight survival — and continues with a contract until June 2027. President Pablo Sánchez doesn't try to dress up the target and stated it explicitly in early August: the only goal is to stay in the league. The summer was busy accordingly — Enzo Bardeli, international defender Issa Kaboré and young striker Yanis Mouésaye joined on a long-term deal, goalkeeper Matthew Ryan returned, and there were three loan signings: Dani Requena from Villarreal, Hugo Sotelo and Manu Sánchez from Celta. In the other direction, two young players were sold to top-tier clubs — Carlos Espi to Real Madrid and Edgar Alcántara to Atlético Madrid — and José Luis Morales, one of the club's symbols, departed. From a visitor's perspective there's a practical angle here: Levante isn't playing in Europe this season, so there are no midweek continental matches and the home schedule should be predictable. And one number that explains the atmosphere: over 19,500 season-ticket holders at a club fighting to stay up.
What's Levante's big match in the 2026/27 season?
Levante's big match is the València derby at home, on 3 January 2027, in matchday 18. Levante and Valencia CF share one city, and this year the derby returns to the league schedule; the return match takes place at Mestalla on 7 March 2027. Around it there are three more big visits to Orriols — Barcelona already on 13 September 2026, Atlético Madrid on 1 November 2026 and Real Madrid on 2 May 2027. The season opens at home against Real Betis on Saturday, 29 August 2026 at 17:00. An important note for anyone booking a flight: in Spain the dates are published well in advance, but the exact kick-off times — and sometimes even the exact day — are only set about 15 to 20 days before the match. The dates above are good for planning, and the kick-off time is confirmed closer to the event.
