About the stadium
Craven Cottage is probably the most beautiful stadium in the Premier League, and certainly the most historic of them. It has sat on the bank of the Thames in southwest London since 1896, with a capacity of 28,107 seats. Two structures within it are Grade II listed heritage assets, both from 1905 and designed by the Scottish architect Archibald Leitch: the Johnny Haynes Stand along Stevenage Road — the oldest surviving football stand in the English league, some of whose seats are still original wood — and the corner pavilion known as "the Cottage," which served as the players' changing rooms and whose balcony is where players' families traditionally sit and watch the match. Facing them, along the river, stands the new Riverside Stand, which opened in full in May 2025 and includes restaurants, bars, a boutique hotel and a swimming pool on its roof — the first of its kind on a football stadium roof in Europe. How do you buy tickets to a Fulham match?
Tickets to Fulham matches at Craven Cottage are bought only through a OneFulham account. Without it you can't buy anything at all, and from there there are three routes. Season ticket: renewals closed in June 2026 and the waiting list closed on 8 June; unlike other clubs, Fulham still offered a limited number of season tickets in the Putney and Riverside stands at the end of July, meaning they didn't sell out completely. Membership, in four tiers, gives early access to home and away tickets. And a single ticket: the sale order agreed with the supporters' board is first club members, then season-ticket holders who want an extra seat, and only at the end fans with a general buying-and-selling history. There's no lottery — it's all priority windows in order. For sold-out matches there's an official ticket exchange where season-ticket holders who aren't attending sell their spot back. How do you get to Craven Cottage?
Craven Cottage is reached via Putney Bridge station on the District line, about 0.7 miles from the stadium. Watch out for the name trap: Fulham Broadway station is not the nearest station. The walk from Putney Bridge is ten to twenty minutes, and it's one of the nicest walks in London: you exit the station to the left, pass through a tunnel into Bishop's Park and walk along the path by the river to the stadium. Alternative: Hammersmith station, about 1.4 miles, which serves four lines. By regular train: from Waterloo to Putney station in 13 minutes and then a walk over the bridge. Buses: 220 from Hammersmith, and also 74 and 424 from Putney. And for midweek matches there's even a boat service from the piers at Blackfriars and Embankment to Putney Pier.
Is there parking at Craven Cottage?
Craven Cottage has no club parking lot at all, and the club explicitly recommends arriving by public transport. The streets around the stadium are in regulated parking zones of Hammersmith & Fulham council, and on match days special restrictions apply: in Zone T from 9:00 to 22:00 — including Sundays and holidays — with a maximum stay of two hours, and in Zones X and Y from 9:00 to 21:30 with a maximum stay of just one hour. In addition, cameras from a clean-air project operate in the area west of Wandsworth Bridge Road, and only vehicles registered with the council pass through them without a fine. Disabled fans get free parking at a nearby school by advance booking, with an accessible shuttle of about five minutes.
How do you get from Israel to a Fulham match?
You fly from Israel to London, and from there the District line to Putney Bridge, near Craven Cottage. It's one of the simplest matches to reach from Israel, because it's all within London: you land at one of London's airports, and from the station it's a quarter-hour walk along the river. There's no need for an intercity train and no need to stay outside the city: you can combine the match with a regular day trip in London, and the walk through Bishop's Park along the Thames is part of the experience.
Does an Israeli need a visa to fly to the UK for the match?

Where's the best place to sit at Craven Cottage?
At Craven Cottage the Hammersmith End is the focal point of atmosphere, and the new Riverside Stand is the most comfortable. The Hammersmith End is the north stand behind the goal, home to Fulham's loudest crowd — until 2004 it was a standing terrace. The Johnny Haynes Stand has an entirely different value: it's a stand from 1905 that has survived as it is, a listed heritage asset, and some of its seats are still wood; anyone who's come for the history of English football wants to sit exactly there. The new Riverside Stand along the river is the most modern and comfortable, and its inner concourse stays open even after the match. Away fans sit at the Putney End on the river side, in blocks P5 and P6, with an allocation of about 2,700 seats, and enter through gates 1 to 17 from Stevenage Road.

Fulham is the oldest club in London playing in the Premier League, and Craven Cottage is a heritage stadium. Craven Cottage is the closest thing to a living museum of Edwardian football architecture: two structures from 1905 are legally protected, including the oldest surviving football stand in the English league. At the same time, the latest expansion has also made the stadium one of the most modern — the new stand on the bank of the Thames opened in May 2025 with a pool on the roof. There's also something new on the touchline: Marco Silva, who coached Fulham for five years and took it up to the Premier League with 110 goals in the Championship, left for Benfica in June 2026, and on 7 July the Spaniard Álvaro Arbeloa — a former Real Madrid and Liverpool player — was appointed in his place, on a three-year contract. Fulham hosts Chelsea at Craven Cottage on Monday 24 August 2026, the west London derby. It's the opener itself, at 20:00, broadcast live — and the derby is also Fulham's opening match, also its first home match and also the new coach's debut, all on the same evening. The return match at Stamford Bridge is held on 10 April 2027. There's another west London derby against Brentford: at home on 12 December 2026 and away on 24 April 2027.
