Tickets for Sunderland matches come through the membership draw, whatever remains of general sale, or TikTik. Sunderland has one of the largest season-ticket bases in England — more than 38,000 season tickets out of a capacity of 48,095 — and all of them sold out for the 2026/27 season. The old waiting list, which stood at about 15,000 fans, was closed and reset entirely in July 2026, and a new list opened on 23 July to club members only. The only practical route for a regular fan is the membership scheme launched on 14 July 2026: the Black Cats tier grants entry into a closed draw for home tickets — you enter separately for each match, one ticket per member — and only what's left after the draw goes to general sale. In practice, because of the sold-out season tickets and the return to Europe, most matches are already sold out at the draw stage. Membership does not guarantee a ticket. You get to the Stadium of Light by Tyne and Wear Metro, St Peter's station — an eight-minute walk. The stadium sits right on the Metro network and this is the best way to get there, and St Peter's is the nearest station; Stadium of Light station on the Green Line is about a nine-minute walk. Sunderland's central train station is about an 18-minute walk. Note the crowd-dispersal method used after the match: anyone heading south boards at St Peter's, and anyone heading north towards Newcastle boards at Stadium of Light. No — the Stadium of Light has no parking for the general public, only a free Park & Ride. On match day the stadium's own car parks are reserved for hospitality clients and partners only, and the streets around the ground are a strictly enforced resident-parking zone. The official solution is a free Park & Ride, open to both home and away fans, from Sunderland Enterprise Park on the A1231, with easy access from the A19 and clear signage. Buses leave about every five minutes starting 90 minutes before kick-off, and the return pick-up is north of the stadium on Kier Hardie Way. For a Sunderland match, you fly to London and take a direct train north, or fly with a connection to Newcastle and take the Metro. There is no direct flight from Tel Aviv to Sunderland. Two common routes. The first: a flight to London and from there a direct Grand Central train from London King's Cross station to Sunderland — about three and a half hours on average, with no changes, six trains a weekday.
