You won't get into the stadium's own car park: on match day entry requires a temporary parking pass from the club, collected at Gate 6 by prior arrangement only, and it must be displayed visibly on the dashboard from two hours before the match until it ends — a tourist in a rental car simply doesn't meet the requirements. From Alicante airport, which is about ten kilometres from Elche, there's no train at all: you take bus route R11, which also stops at the Renfe train station and at the central bus station. Watch out for a detail that catches people out — on weekdays the line departs every fifteen to twenty minutes, but on weekends the frequency is sparse and gaps of 40 to 60 minutes can appear, and that's exactly the day most matches are held.
