Jethro Tull is a British rock band formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, in 1967. The band grew out of the British blues scene and developed a progressive rock style blending hard rock, English folk, and classical music. It has been led since its formation by Ian Anderson, the composer and vocalist, best known for his flute playing. Over the years, many musicians have come and gone, and the band has gone through several changes in style.
Jethro Tull's upcoming shows number three, all in Central Europe: Tempodrom in Berlin on November 5, 2026, Getec Arena in Magdeburg on November 6, and Dom Muzyki i Tańca in Zabrze, Poland, on November 30.
Anderson's flute is the sound that instantly identifies the band, and the show moves between heavy rock and acoustic, folk-inspired songs. It's an evening for anyone who loves progressive rock played live, with lots of musicianship and fewer effects. Tempodrom in Berlin is a venue with a distinctive tent-like structure, and Berlin is especially convenient for a weekend trip from Israel.
