The Barclays Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the Bahrenfeld district of Hamburger SV, Germany. The arena opened in 2002 and holds about 16,000 people, and it is one of the leading entertainment venues in northern Germany. Over the years the arena has carried various commercial names — Color Line Arena, O2 World Hamburg and Barclaycard Arena.
The arena is in western Hamburg, next to Volkspark. It can be reached by the city rail (S-Bahn) to Stellingen station and from there a short walk, as well as by bus lines and via the car parks adjacent to the complex.
The arena hosts concerts by top international artists, entertainment shows, handball and ice hockey events, as well as conferences and exhibitions. The acoustics and the indoor structure allow events all year round, regardless of the weather.
