The AFAS Dome is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the Merksem district of Antwerp, Belgium — the arena that was known for decades as Sportpaleis Antwerpen. It holds up to about 23,000 people and is one of the largest and busiest event arenas in the Benelux.
The arena is located in northern Antwerp, near the ring road. It can be reached by tram and bus — the Sportpaleis stop is a short walk away — as well as by train to Antwerpen-Noorderdokken station or Antwerp Central Station and from there by public transport.
The arena hosts concerts by top international artists, entertainment and comedy shows, indoor sporting events such as basketball and gymnastics, as well as large fairs and exhibitions.
