About the stadium
MKM Stadium opened in December 2002 and sits inside West Park, about a kilometer and a half from the center of Hull in East Yorkshire. Capacity is 24,983, and it's built as a bowl with four stands: the West Stand is the only two-tier, main stand, with 28 hospitality boxes between the tiers; the East Stand is named after club legend Chris Chilton; the South Stand is the Kop behind the goal; and the North Stand is split between home fans and away fans. The attendance record was set on 17 February 2004, when an England U21 match against the Netherlands was held there in front of 25,280 spectators. Since the 2025/26 season the stadium has had safe standing areas — 1,574 in the home end and another 1,105 in the away stand. The stadium is also used by the local rugby club. Address: The Circle, Walton Street, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 6HU.
FAQ
How do you buy tickets for a Hull City match?
Tickets for Hull City matches at MKM Stadium are sold only to season-ticket holders and to those who have already bought before. Promotion to the Premier League closed the door. Hull City's season ticket sold out completely, and the club capped it at 19,000 season-ticket holders — meaning about three-quarters of the stadium is filled in advance. Since 20 July 2026 only a waiting list is open, and it doesn't guarantee a season ticket. There's no open sale to the general public for a single home-match ticket either: sales open only to 2026/27 season-ticket holders or to anyone who already bought a ticket to a Hull match last season, and are limited to two tickets per fan. That was also the case for the opening match against Manchester United. Tickets are digital and are sent about five days before the match. TikTik obtains tickets for Hull City matches without a season ticket and without a purchase history at the club.
How do you get to MKM Stadium?
MKM Stadium is reached from Hull Paragon Interchange — about a 21-minute walk, or by bus. Hull Paragon Interchange is a combined rail and bus terminal in the city center, about a 21-minute walk from the stadium according to the council's transport website. The route is simple: from Park Street to Londesborough Street and from there to the entrance on Argyle Street. Those who prefer the bus — lines 2, 51 through 56, 58, 250, 255 and 350 reach the stadium. Cyclists have 146 parking spaces around the ground. Address: The Circle, Walton Street, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 6HU.
Is there parking at MKM Stadium?
At MKM Stadium there's an official car park at the Walton Street ground opposite, and it fills up very quickly. The official car park is the Walton Street ground directly opposite the stadium — about six pounds per car, payment by credit card only and free for blue badge holders — and it fills up very quickly on matchday. The organized alternative is the Park & Ride at Priory, from which a direct, frequent bus service runs to the stadium. In the surrounding residential streets, resident-only parking schemes are in effect, so it's not worth looking for a spot there.
How do you get from Israel to a Hull City match?
From Israel you reach a Hull City match by flying to London and from there taking a direct train from King's Cross. There's no direct flight from Tel Aviv to Hull. The usual route is a flight to London and from there a direct Hull Trains service from London King's Cross station — a journey averaging about two hours 36 minutes, with no changes, over a distance of about 249 kilometers. There are up to seven trains a day on weekdays and six at the weekend, and LNER also operates the route once a day. You can leave in the morning and be back in London the same evening.
Does an Israeli need a visa to fly to the UK for the match?
Not a visa, but yes an entry authorization. Since 8 January 2025, Israeli citizens have been required to have a UK ETA. The cost is £20, it allows multiple entries and is valid for two years or until the passport expires - whichever comes first - and permits a stay of up to 6 months per visit. You apply on the official website or the UK ETA app. The response usually arrives within a day, but you should allow up to three working days, and you must not fly before the authorization has been received by email.
Where's the best place to sit at MKM Stadium?
At MKM Stadium the West Stand is the main stand, and the South Stand is the Kop behind the goal. The West Stand is the main stand — the only two-tier one, with the hospitality areas and the best view of the pitch. The South Stand is the Kop behind the goal, a single-tier stand considered the most atmospheric for big matches, and the East Stand, named after Chris Chilton, completes the bowl. Away fans sit in the northeast corner and enter through turnstiles 47 to 50 and 1 to 5, with the accessible entrance at gate 46 — and right next to them, in that same North Stand, sit some of Hull's most vocal fans. For those looking for standing: the safe standing areas are in blocks N1 to N5 in the North Stand and blocks E3 and E4 in the Chilton Stand.
What's special about Hull City?
Hull City are back in the Premier League after nine seasons, in the recognizable orange-and-black shirt. Their last Premier League season was 2016/17, at the end of which they were relegated — and in the 2025/26 season they finished sixth in the Championship and won promotion through the play-offs. The nickname The Tigers comes from the striped orange-and-black shirt, one of the most recognizable in English football. Manager Sergej Jakirović, a Croatian, was appointed on 11 June 2025 on a two-year contract with an option, after a spell at Turkey's Kayserispor — and he's the one who led the promotion in his first season. The city of Hull itself, a port on the River Humber, arrives at these matches after a decade of waiting, and that's audible in the stands.
