When is Elche's next match?
Elche host Valencia on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium.

At the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium in the city of Elche.
Are there tickets for Elche away games?
Yes. Among others, you can book tickets for matches against Levante, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Real Madrid.
The Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero was inaugurated on 8 September 1976 and has been Elche's home ever since — in the Altabix neighbourhood, at the eastern edge of the city, about three to four kilometres from the historic centre and from the palm grove that earned Elche its status as a World Heritage Site. About 33,000 seats in four stands: the Tribuna in the west, the Preferencia facing it in the east, and behind the goals Fondo Sur in the south and Fondo Norte in the north — and above the lower stands there's a separate upper tier, sold as an entirely different ticket. The south end is the heart of the atmosphere, home to the club's veteran organized supporters' group; away fans are concentrated on the north side, at Gates 20 and 22. Some of the stands are covered and some are open to the sky — the club marks the difference on the ticket itself. And hovering over everything is one fact that determines everything for anyone who wants to get in: between 24,000 and 27,000 of the seats are held by club season ticket holders.
FAQ
How do you buy tickets for an Elche match?
Tickets for Elche matches are sold on the club's ticket website, and most of the stadium is held by season ticket holders. The number that matters: in a stadium of about 33,000 seats there are between 24,000 and 27,000 regular season ticket holders. That means most of the home end is taken before sales even open. Official sale runs through the club's ticket website, and for the big matches the club states explicitly that sale to the general public is online only. The stadium's physical box office opens on match day, a few hours before kickoff, and only if any seats remain at all. For in-demand matches, sale happens in two stages: first a closed window for season ticket holders, and only after that an opening for the public — with no fixed schedule, each match announced separately. There's one mechanism worth knowing: a season ticket holder who isn't coming may release their seat through the personal area up to two hours before the match, and then the seat goes back on sale — so inventory trickles open right up until kickoff, even after it "sold out". And entry is strict: tickets are personal and non-transferable, the gates cross-check against ID, there are no exchanges and no refunds, and resale is banned and monitored. Even an infant needs a ticket. TikTik gets tickets for Elche matches at Martínez Valero without club membership and without chasing sales windows.
How do you get to the Martínez Valero stadium?
You get to the Martínez Valero stadium on city bus route E, which stops at the Zona Estadi stop. The address: Avenida Manuel Martínez Valero 3, 03208 Elche. The stadium is in the Altabix neighbourhood at the eastern edge of the city, about three to four kilometres from the historic centre — a completely flat walk for anyone who likes to walk. By city bus the direct line is route E, whose official name includes the stop "Zona Estadi"; lines F and H also pass through the area. Important: Elche's bus network was overhauled from the ground up in 2023, and English-language guides that still point to line K are simply out of date. By train, watch out for a detail that confuses tourists — the city has two stations, and the right one for the stadium is Elx Parc, which serves the centre and east of the city. Elx Carrús is on the western side, the opposite side. By car from outside: exit 30 off the A-70 or exit 708 off the A-7. On match day the club publishes a gate allocation by stand and paints designated walking routes on the ground — it's worth checking which gate your ticket belongs to before you set out.
Is there parking at the Martínez Valero stadium?
The Martínez Valero stadium car park is only open with a parking pass from the club; park in the areas around it instead. You won't get into the stadium's own car park: on match day entry requires a temporary parking pass from the club, collected at Gate 6 by prior arrangement only, and it must be displayed visibly on the dashboard from two hours before the match until it ends — a tourist in a rental car simply doesn't meet the requirements. Where you can park: Elche's local police officially recommend four areas nearby — the Manolo Jaén athletics track, the area facing the stadium, the area near the local police headquarters, and the area near the La Devesa school — and their advice is to arrive early. For motorbikes and bicycles there are dedicated areas on the Fondo Sur side, with entry at the corner of Martínez Valero Avenue and Almagro Street. Parking outside marked spaces, on pavements or in emergency access lanes gets towed. The simplest option of all: leave the car in the city and take bus route E.
How do you get to an Elche match from Israel?
For an Elche match you fly to Madrid or Barcelona — there is no direct flight from Tel Aviv to Alicante. The direct destinations in Spain are Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga, Ibiza and Palma — Alicante isn't on the list, and neither are Valencia or Murcia. There are two practical routes. The first, and the pleasantly surprising one: a flight to Madrid and from there a high-speed train straight to Elche — four trains a day from Madrid Chamartín station to Elche AV station, two hours and twenty minutes, without stopping in Alicante. The station sits outside the city, in Matola, and from there bus route R4 goes to the centre. The second: a flight to Madrid or Barcelona — about four hours and 40 minutes to Barcelona — and from there an onward flight to Alicante, about an hour and five minutes from Madrid. From Alicante airport, which is about ten kilometres from Elche, there's no train at all: you take bus route R11, which also stops at the Renfe train station and at the central bus station. Watch out for a detail that catches people out — on weekdays the line departs every fifteen to twenty minutes, but on weekends the frequency is sparse and gaps of 40 to 60 minutes can appear, and that's exactly the day most matches are held. By taxi it's a 15 to 20-minute ride.
Does an Israeli need a visa to fly to the match?
No. Israelis enter Schengen-area countries visa-free for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and all that's required is a valid passport. Worth knowing what's coming: the European Union is launching the ETIAS authorization system in the last quarter of 2026. Once it takes effect, an online authorization will be required in advance, at a cost of €7, valid for three years or until the passport expires — whichever comes first. As of today the system is not active and no action is required from you. Important warning: the EU warns that many sites impersonate the official site, use the EU logo and charge inflated fees or steal passport and credit card details. There is only one official site — europa.eu/etias — and any address not on the europa.eu domain is not official.
Where is it best to sit at the Martínez Valero stadium?
At the Martínez Valero stadium the atmosphere is in the southern Fondo Sur, and the comfortable viewing is in the Tribuna or the Preferencia. The atmosphere lives at the south end — Fondo Sur and the southern curve, home to Elche's organized supporters' group and the source of the stadium's noise. For comfortable viewing: the Tribuna in the west or the Preferencia in the east, the two long sides that give the best angle on the match — and that's also the safe recommendation for families, since there's no dedicated family stand here. Stay away from the south end, and away from Gates 20 and 22, which are the away fans' side. Two things worth knowing before choosing a seat: above the lower stands there's an upper tier sold as an entirely separate ticket, so "Tribuna" and "Tribuna Alta" are two different places; and some seats are covered and some aren't — the club notes this on the ticket itself, and it's worth confirming the difference in advance. Wheelchair access: ramps at Gates 6 and 14.
What's special about Elche's 2026/27 season?
Elche opened the season with a new coach, Argentine Martín Anselmi, presented on 13 June 2026. Eder Sarabia, the man who got Elche back into La Liga and kept them there in 15th place with 43 points, announced his retirement for a personal break at the end of May 2026. On 13 June, Argentine Martín Anselmi was presented in his place — the man who won the Copa Sudamericana with Independiente del Valle and managed Cruz Azul — on a one-season contract with an option for a further year, and the club emphasizes that he brings proactive, attacking football. The comeback season behind them left one evening all of Elche will remember: a 3-2 win at home over Atlético Madrid, on 22 April 2026. Elche are not playing in Europe this season, and in the transfer window the club mainly kept its core intact — the standout official signing is defender Bouba Sangaré, who arrived from Roma on a contract until 2031. And for tourists planning ahead: La Liga schedules matches from Friday through Monday and sometimes midweek too, so don't assume a weekend before the date is confirmed.
What's Elche's big match in the 2026/27 season?
Elche's big match is Barcelona at Martínez Valero, on Sunday, 23 August 2026. It's the second matchday and also the season's first home match, meaning the stadium at its peak. Real Madrid arrive on matchday six, on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, and Atlético Madrid on Sunday, 29 November. There's also a Valencia region derby: Valencia at home on 1 November 2026 and Levante on 7 February 2027. The true historic derby, against Hércules of Alicante — 101 meetings since 1925 — won't be played this season, simply because Hércules play in the third division. A note that saves planning mistakes: La Liga only sets kickoff times about 15 to 20 days in advance, so for the more distant matches the dates are known but the times will only be set later, along with broadcast scheduling. Elche opened the league away, in a 1:1 draw against Deportivo La Coruña, on Monday, 17 August 2026.
