Chicago is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1967, describing itself as a "rock 'n' roll band with horns." Its songs blend rock with classical music, jazz, R&B, and pop. The original lineup included Peter Cetera, Terry Kath, and Robert Lamm, among others, who shared lead vocals, alongside trumpet, trombone, and woodwind players. The band was originally called Chicago Transit Authority, and shortened its name to Chicago in 1969.
Chicago's upcoming shows span six months. In November 2026, the band performs in the northeastern US and the Midwest: Bethlehem, two nights at Mark G Etess Arena in Atlantic City, Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, Connecticut, Ohio and Michigan. At the end of January 2027, it heads south to Saenger Theatre in Pensacola, Alabama, the Carolinas and Florida, and performs a series of nights in Las Vegas in February-March. The tour concludes in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on April 1, 2027.
What sets a Chicago concert apart is the brass section: trumpet, trombone and saxophone playing alongside a full rock band. The audience gets an evening of familiar hits in rich live arrangements.
